Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, Sarasota – reopening Saturday Oct 1
Naples Zoo, Naples – major debris has been removed and many animals have been returned to their habitats. Zoo will remain closed until further notice.
Seaside Seabird Sanctuary, Indian Shores – all birds have been successfully returned to property.
Big Cat Rescue, Tampa – we did not want to sit through another lengthy Carole Baskin video, but it appears operations are back to normal. Animals had been relocated to another property prior to storm.
CROW, Sanibel – All staff on site safe. Causeway to island, only road access, has been damaged by storm. Staff is developing alternative plans for wildlife care.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Clearwater – minor structural damage. Aquarium is now open to public.
Zoo Tampa, Tampa – Zoo is now open to public, though cleanup effort continues. Oct 1 Creatures of the Night event will be held as dress rehearsal, with limited offerings.
Busch Gardens, Tampa – park operations and the Howl-o-Scream event will resume on Saturday Oct 1.
Tampa International Airport – fully reopened
Orlando International Airport – flight operations have resumed.
Gatorland, Orlando – all animals reported safe and most enclosures in good shape. Management is waiting for creek levels to decrease before announcing opening date.
Central Florida Zoo, Stanford – rideout team and animals safe. Cleanup continues. Reopening date to be announced.
Wild Florida, Kenansville – drive-through safari and giraffe feeding reopening Saturday Oct 1. Gator park, Chomp House, and airboat tours to remain closed until further notice.
Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista – All four theme parks and Disney Springs now open. Typhoon Lagoon reopening Sunday Oct 2. Miniature golf courses to remain closed at this time.
SeaWorld Orlando, Orlando – Park and Howl-o-Scream event resume operation Saturday Oct 1.
Discovery Cove, Orlando – Reopening Saturday Oct 1.
ICON Park, Orlando – now open. Final week of Oktoberfest celebration will continue through Sunday Oct 2.
Fun Spot, Orlando and Kissimmee – both parks open.
LEGOLAND Resort Florida, Winter Haven – LEGOLAND Florida park and Peppa Pig Theme Park opening Saturday Oct 1. LEGOLAND Waterpark to remain closed until further notice.
Universal Orlando Resort, Orlando – Halloween Horror Nights open Friday Sept 30 for guests with existing tickets. Volcano Bay open Friday Sept 30. Remainder of resort to reopen Saturday Oct 1
Brevard Zoo, Melbourne – Zoo open, though some areas may be off limits to guests due to cleanup. Boo to the Zoo event taking place this weekend.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merritt Island – attractions and bus tours will resume on Saturday Oct 1. All reservations for closed dates due to storm will be refunded.
Marineland Dolphin Adventure , St. Augustine – staff and animals reported safe. Park will remain closed through Saturday Oct 1 to evaluate hurricane impact on facility.
